Budget Deficit Resources

Sonoma State University’s projected budget deficit is an estimated $23.9 million. Dr. Emily F. Cutrer, Interim President of the university, explained the budget scenario during an in-person October 24, 2024 Town Hall. Following numerous budget-related actions taken over the past few years, President Cutrer today announced that 46 faculty positions would be eliminated and that four additional management positions and 12 staff positions at the university would be eliminated.
